What you’ll do:
Ensures customer satisfaction by managing key business relationships and consistently delivering on commitments and value; provides a positive and professional customer experience always
Acts as an extension of our sales team to our customer base with administrative needs to avoid loss by churn and encourage growth in our contribution margin by providing the highest level of support
Manages all documentation requests for customers (customer surveys, questionnaires, customer product stewardship paperwork, SDS, COA, TDS, ISO, Insurance, W9, Sales Specifications, etc.) and works to complete all necessary forms for internal use and follow up with customers on external request from suppliers.
Assists with creating, manipulating, and reviewing all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports for sales team to keep on budget and on target for their territories – this includes but not limited to: open order reports, back order reports, customer/territory reporting, comparative reports and any other reporting requests
Provides customers with sample requests, and sample follow up procedures set in place to ensure customer has everything they need for potential new business opportunities regarding sample requests
Ability to handle most complex accounts and utilize skillset for specialized roles/teams and be willing to accept additional responsibilities as needed
Quarterbacks the new business checklist to ensure Univar Solutions is equipped to successfully take on new business for the customer – ensuring material codes are set up correctly, stock and forecasts are set in place, pricing is in the system and approved by Product Managers, and customer specific delivery instructions have been addressed
Leads collaboration with team members to activate necessary material codes and information, stocking locations, forecasting, and accurate master data at the customer account level
Initiates internal processes and follows up for completion (bid requests, forecasts, payment terms, etc.)
Works to drive down the organization’s manual pricing rate by aiding sales in updating customer files with price quotes via our pricing tool
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
What you’ll need:
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. A combination of education and/or experience will be considered for the ideal candidate.
Prior experience working in Customer Solutions with B2B customers
Chemical/Distribution Experience preferred
Aptitude using SharePoint and Tableau (or equivalent reporting tools)
Proficiency with the MS Office package preferred, strong excel skills are encouraged
SAP or relevant ERP systems
Salesforce experience a plus
