Overview

Would you like to join Canadian operations of an internationally listed company that offers excellent work life balance and hybrid WFH/in office work pattern? Are you interested in leading an established accounting team and playing a key role in their development and execution of deadlines? We are recruiting on behalf of a mature, stable mid-size company located in the West GTA and easily accessible from major highways. They are currently seeking an experienced Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) with Controllership or similar experience.

Opportunity Details

Key responsibilities and oversight:
· Oversee an established team responsible for various accounting functions/operations
· Ensure an accurate and timely completion of consolidated month end, quarter end and year end deliverables
· Develop strong internal and external relationships including training, coaching and development of staff
· Lead the annual planning and budgeting processes and ongoing evaluation of key performance metrics
· Co-ordinate the annual external audit process and quarterly reviews
· Monitor technical accounting changes and, when appropriate, adjust reporting/accounting processes accordingly
· Partner with Department Managers to develop and maintain internal controls across the company
· Support growth initiatives through productive operational relationships

The company is offering an excellent compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary, annual bonus program, long term incentives and RSP matching. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
· Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA), qualified at a major accounting firm
· 6+ years of progressive relevant post designation experience including a minimum of 4 years directly supervising others
· Practical knowledge of accounting/reporting in an IFRS or USGAAP environment is an asset
· Proven experience working with a major ERP system is preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
