Director of Purchasing

Full-time position offered at our head office in the heart of Old Quebec. Please note that this role requires a physical presence on site. In an ever-changing environment, the directors of purchasing are called upon to coach and support their team’s buyers to achieve excellence in reaching common goals. Throughout the seasons, the engaged Purchasing team shares its passion to inspire bold choices for our customers. Key Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and lead team members to optimize their performance and develop their skills. 
• Encourage and maintain team engagement through caring coaching. 
• Regularly evaluate performance and make adjustments as necessary to meet established objectives. 
• Anticipate needs and adjust strategies in keeping with the corporate vision.  

Desired Profile

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of the fashion buyer role.
• Have solid fashion experience and good market reflexes. 
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in analyzing and explaining numbers and data. 
• Demonstrate engaging and available leadership. 
• Be an educator and model a strong work ethic. 
• Demonstrate managerial courage and a corporate vision (macro vision). 
• Be able to effectively communicate in English and French, both spoken and written, in order to do so with all stakeholders.
