Full Stack Developer

Position Description Are you someone that loves to learn and use new technologies to help develop new application solutions? We are seeking an enthusiastic Full Stack Java Developer that is looking for challenges to expand their career by working on large commercial applications for a large global financial institution. In this role you would also be able to mentor more junior developers, develop new applications, support existing applications, and create enhancements as well as architect future solutions. This work is primarily a Senior Java position with interconnected technologies listed below in the skill requirements. This position can be located in either of our CGI-Atlantic offices: Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton or Stratford Your future duties and responsibilities Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Architect new software solutions
• Complete tasks such as analysis, design, coding, peer review, testing, or deployment activities
• Attend and participate in all required meetings
• Escalate issues and risks
• Ensure that code and the techniques used match the project standards for the technology
• Build respectful relationships with team members, clients, etc.
• Management of team artifacts for project status and billing
• Attend and participate in all CGI member meetings
• Remain current in your area of expertise
• Share knowledge freely and openly with other team members
• Ensure that clients are happy with the product they receive
• Follow project management processes (i.e., Change Management, Configuration Management, etc.)

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Required Technical Skills:

• Java 8 : 5 + years’ experience
• Azure DevOps, Ansible, Docker : 5 years’ experience
• Polymer, LitTHTML, a bit Angular : 3+ years’ experience
• SQL background in Oracle and/or Sybase

Nice to have Technical Skills:

• Fortify, Checkmark static code analyzer
• Selenium/Cucumber
• Confident working in an Agile environment

Required Level of Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience
