Job Description - Graphic Designer

about this team:

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our creative team to help us craft brand strategies into kickass creative concepts. You’ll need to bring your A game, have strong design chops, proficiency in production design, and manage multiple projects at one time. We’re all about relationships so you’ll be working with some rad people across a bunch of departments, including the Brand Art Directors, Product Designers, Social specialists, Events partners and external vendors to bring the work to life. 

a day in the life:

  • Work closely with the Brand Creative team and the Art Director and participate in the creative process 
  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts suggesting improvements as needed.
  • Able to develop innovative design solutions while following creative and art direction. A passion for design is mandatory.
  • Must demonstrate creative approach and style without compromising flow of information
  • Aspirational aesthetic, taking into account industry trends and creative leaders.
  • Deliver final assets to channels

qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional Graphic Design
  • Have strong artistic, typographic, and layout skills. 
  • Must have experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision & Figma. 
  • A conceptual thinker that can translate ideas into innovative and crafted design
  • Must be well versed in creating for and delivering into social and having an informed point of view in interactive and emerging platforms (AR, VR etc)
  • Clear communicator with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Strategic thinker, comfortable ideating high-level concepts as well as coming up with detailed design executions.
  • Animation skills would be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $66,000-$86,600 CAD annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
