About us: The Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI) department within the Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) Division is a central department responsible for all matters pertaining to the development, maintenance and effectiveness of the core administrative management and student systems at the U of T. Included within these responsibilities are all central SAP systems, such as Financial Services, Human Resources, Research Administration and Procurement; the central U of T Student System (ROSI); approximately 40 related vendor and specialized web applications, as well as central Business Intelligence and Document Management applications. Your opportunity: Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Enterprise Applications & Solutions Integration or their designate, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering transformational technology solutions to the University. Through your efforts in this position, you will directly help improve the University’s administrative management and student systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, testing, and modifying programming code
• Evaluating programming code to ensure it has validity, compatibility, and that it meets appropriate standards
• Conducting needs assessments to determine end-user technical requirements
• Serving asa resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidance
• Designing, implementing, and managing Azure platform through programming
• Developing and maintaining automation scripts
• Monitor health, performance, and availability of Azure resources and applications.
• Integrating Azure services with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in Azure DevOps

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of hands-on experience working with Azure or similar cloud platforms
• Deep understanding of various Azure services
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automating tasks and managing Azure resources efficiently
• Experience with Azure monitoring tools
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as code tools like ARM, Bicep or Terraform
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps services
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in Azure environment

USW Pay Band 09 -- $65,407 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $83,646. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
