Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor Position Description: At Nutem Manufacturing on Clay Ave, Burlington. The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate the installation, repair and maintenance of facilities and machinery. He /She will work with outside technicians and company maintenance employees. The job is to organize monitor and supervise the maintenance operations of a facility. Maintenance Supervisors also provide technical assistance to the maintenance team and production supervisors on all shifts. He /She will ensure Maintenance Technicians follow all maintenance and safety standards while performing their responsibilities in an organization. The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time employee. The Maintenance Supervisor also needs strong leadership skills to perform, delegate and correct duties and responsibilities. Other important skills and qualifications for Maintenance Supervisors include: Responsibilities: prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing, and participating in all tasks related to equipment and facility maintenance. methods and schedules to eliminate breakdowns. to analyze, solve problems and implement corrective actions. Critical-thinking skills. to plan maintenance schedules. written and oral communication skills. interpersonal and delegation skills. with computers and Microsoft Office Suite. and physical stamina. handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance. part in developing maintenance policies and standards for an organization and setting expectations for all maintenance staff. training sessions on equipment, facility safety procedures, and methods. daily tasks and delegating them to Maintenance Technicians and outside companies and professionals. and maintaining preventive maintenance standards for the organization’s facilities and equipment. together with the Production Supervisors on all shifts on the continuous improvement of equipment / employee interaction such as autonomous maintenance and related activities, including training. Skills and Qualifications Formal diploma from a qualified trade school in Canada. Qualified candidate must have five or more years of experience performing Maintenance Supervisor duties or in other demonstrated capacities. These duties have a strong understanding of basic math and measurements. Successful Maintenance Supervisor candidates also have extensive knowledge of pipe fitting, welding, and electrical diagnostics, with an additional one or two years of management or leadership experience. This can be through formal job experience as Engineer or reliability expert.
