Material Handler

We are in search of Material Handlers for a fulltime, morning shift in a Warehouse located in Richmond Job Description:

• Candidates will be working in multiple departments in the warehouse that best suites their personality, experience and skillset.
• All candidates must be open to cross training.
• Will be cross trained in any of the following departments - stockroom, inventory, order picking, shipping, receiving.
• The longer you work there the more cross-training will be provided.

Other general warehouse duties:

• Work requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and pushing carts and material
• Lifting boxes up to 35 pounds
• Using computer for data entry
• Working with a color and "hat" system to organize products in the warehouse
• Doing basic math for counting product and doing inventory (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
• Using an RF scanner

Qualifications:

• 6 months+ warehouse experience OR logistics background
• Able to Lift 35 lbs non repetitive
• Ability to stand and move around for 8 hours with some bending, lifting and crouching
• Comfortable using a computer, Experience with Microsoft Excel for data entry
• Must be open to occasional OT daily and weekly
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to have Experience:

• Experience operating a standup forklift or cert
• Experience counting and recording inventory
• Manufacturing experience
• Experience operating RF scanner

Work Environment:

• Warehouse is located in Richmond BC, it is transit accessible
• Clean, quiet, very friendly atmosphere
• Manager cares highly about training and developing his employees

Shift:

• Morning Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm
• Monday- Friday
• OT on some Saturdays

Payrate:

• $18.50/hr
