Mechanical Fixture Designer

The mechanical designer, test bench is responsible for designing the mechanical part of the test benches, assembling them and participating in their commissioning. They also participates in the design of the manufacturing tooling. Their work is carried out with a concern for the safety and integrity of people and equipment, given the nature of the company's activities. They must also develop the working methods for the assembly of TM4 products on the test benches, in the context of product development and production. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Your Challenges

• Mechanical design of all test benches: technical design, models and drawings, BOM, analysis monitoring, supplier follow-up, parts reception
• Participate in the mechanical assembly of test benches, their commissioning and validation
• Develop, analyze and improve working methods for the assembly of TM4 products on test benches. Write the required assembly/disassembly procedures and support industrial mechanics
• Design prototyping and production tooling: technical design, models and drawings, supplier follow-up, verification and validation
• Participate in the continuous improvement of test facilities and support the service for all related tasks
• Support the industrialization management for tooling design as needed
• Collaborate on the maintenance and improvement of the quality system

Your Strengths

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience in the design of mechanical parts and assemblies
• Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (essential)
• 2 years of experience working with mechanical couplings, high torque and high speed components
• Proficiency in 3D design software (NX a plus)
• Experience in adapting and improving equipment (a plus)
• Experience in an ISO work environment
• Autonomy, initiative and organizational skills
• Team spirit and collaboration
• Comfortable working in a changing and growing environment
• Rapid prototyping experience
• Experience working with oil system conditioning
