Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role within Mahler’s leadership team working collaboratively with sales, production, purchasing, and the two Owners of the business
- Report to and work directly with Production Manager / Owner
- Maintain and update the company’s database of active orders in production
- Set initial draft of weekly and daily production schedule to maximize throughput and delivery for review with Production Manager and Foreman
- Maintain current lead times by the production department
- Coordinate weekly job review meetings for all new orders prior to entering production
- Participate in daily production standup meetings with the foreman to communicate the schedule to staff
- Lead procurement for machine tooling and shop supplies by requesting quotes and placing POs
- Review completed jobs to assess actual vs expected job profitability
- Maintain production key performance indicators to present results back to company leadership
- Interface with customers to provide status updates of active orders
- This is a role on our leadership team. We are nimble and a willingness to step up where required into other areas of the business will be needed
Experience Required:
- 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Experience with an ERP system/implementation is an asset (on the roadmap) but not a requirement
- Engineering degree is a bonus but not a requirement
- Background/passion for machining or quality control including FAI is a bonus, not a requirement
- Familiar with technical part drawings is a bonus, not a requirement

Benefits & Compensation:
- Base: $60,000 - $65,000
- Bonus Plan Based on Company and Individual Performance

No two days will be the same given our focus on low volume high complexity work for a variety of industries including deep sea submergence, aerospace, alternative energy, medical, and manufacturing OEMs. Our 20,000-square-foot facility is located in Coquitlam BC at 1324 Ketch Court and is equipped with 19 CNC machines including a mix of vertical and horizontal mills, lathes, 5-axis, and 7 live tooling machines, and a manual machine room. We are ISO 9001 certified and operate a fleet of well-maintained Mazak and Haas machines that support online (conversational Mazatrol) and offline programming.
