The Communities of Practice (CoP) initiative, led by the Department of Medicine at McMaster University, comprises eight groups of multidisciplinary physician and non-physician leaders. These groups are dedicated to tackling projects with the goal of making a global impact in the field of medicine.
Under the direction of physician and non-physician leaders, the Project Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the coordination of workplan and deliverables. The position is responsible for overseeing administrative and project needs, including event management, communications and web-based tasks, as well as supporting recruitment of new members to each of the groups, project management of work plans, development of presentation and briefing notes.
The nature of the internal projects and initiatives are not research based.

Responsible for assisting with tasks related to identifying, planning and managing international projects and initiatives. Analyzes project and initiative requirements and works with others to determine the requirements, logistics, budgets, and fund allocations.
