Your mission as a Platform Engineer!

A Platform Engineer at Ancient Gaming is a key player in our dynamic, technology-driven environment. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between development and IT operations, streamlining processes to ensure efficient, reliable, and continuous software delivery. You'll automate infrastructure, monitor system health, and optimize deployment pipelines, enhancing our ability to create and maintain cutting-edge gaming experiences.

Please note that as the current responsibilities of this role require working hours within a specific time zone, we can consider only candidates who are currently based within the GMT+/-2 zone.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and maintaining development pipelines for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Managing, administering, and optimizing database systems.
• Optimizing the performance and reliability of our platform to ensure the best performance while maintaining cost.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure, CI/CD, and security.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure the health and performance of our infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Developing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
• Be dynamic professional and eager to continuously learn, grow, and contribute within the team.
  
  

You will thrive in this role if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of previous experience in DevOps / Site Reliability / System or Platform Engineering roles.
• Previous production experience with Cloud technologies.
• At least 2 years of production experience with Terraform.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and address complex technical problems.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Experience with building custom CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with CDN / WAF / DDOS protection in high-traffic environments.
