Job Description - Retail Operations, Manager

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Manager, Operations drives the operational efficiency for all Canada Retail stores to optimize the consumer journey and meet conversion objectives. Responsible for implementation of both back-of-house and front-of-house processes to deliver a premium brand experience for our associate and consumer.

Key Responsibilities / Authorities

  • Responsible for the implementation, roll out and maintenance of retail platforms for inventory receiving, processing and storage systems (BINS), Made for you customization lab, customer facing apps, Net Promoter Score (NPS) programs, financial tracking tools (such as Power BI), for all stores existing or new.
  • Work effectively with Loss Prevention and Inventory control on in-store processes to reduce shrink
  • Lead operations for off-site events including Point of Sale (POS) set up, working with District Managers on supplies and scheduling, and any virtual components. Work effectively with Store Development on scheduling, logistics, supplies, and article testing.
  • Work with Sr. Manager and Brantford Distrubtion Center (BDC) on carton delivery Standard Operating Process (SOP) and manage all courier accounts.
  • Support Manager, Retail Systems on field training and testing on new initiatives, and develop incentive programs to ensure program success in Canadian marketplace 
  • Work with Regional Trainers to ensure Store Associate Mobile (SAM) is incorporated seamlessly into the daily rhythm of the stores.
  • Work with Sr. Manager, Operations on forecasting financial plans for Ship from Store (SFS), and adidas Retail App (aRA).
  • Manage retail office supply orders with respective vendors and partner with marketing for any branded items
  • Partner with Merchandising and Planning to ensure all promotional and markdown activity is executed correctly in point-of-sale systems
  • Ensure Pricing accuracy and brand guidelines are met in all stores
  • Manage communications with stores through various platforms and deliver timely communications on updates, changes to retail systems, required tasks. This includes Teams channels and chats, email, ThinkTime and CanadaHub.
  • Lead and manage all 3rd party traffic driving relationships including invite programs
  • Support roll out and day to day functions of Radio Frequency Identificatoin (RFID) maintenance
  • Assist with open tickets escalation process

  • Extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of retail process, consumer experience and end-to-end operations

  • Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills with strong command of English language
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to portray a confident and winning attitude in challenging business interactions
  • Excellent relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (nationally, regionally)
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma from a college or university
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
