Lead Custodian

Our Calgary client provides long term care and rehabilitation to adults in our community, and they are seeking a dedicated Lead Custodian who has exemplary attention to detail to clean, sanitize surfaces in the facility, dust, mop and operate on-site cleaning equipment. 

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and assign tasks to the custodial team
• Clean, sanitize and disinfect the facility
• Responsible for unlocking and locking the building, security of building assets
• Operate and maintain all housekeeping equipment
• Following proper protocol of garbage disposal
• Report any maintenance issues through work orders
• Comply with all Health and Safety, and Infection Control procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Custodian is required 
• Supervisory experience leading a team is an asset
• Physically capable of repeatedly lifting upwards of 20 lbs.
• Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time with frequent reaching, bending, and crouching
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety policies and protocols
• Pleasant and approachable demeanour
