Job Title: Healthcare Administrative Assistant Intern

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Administrative Assistant Intern to join our team at our Burlington location.
Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in supporting daily office operations, managing administrative tasks, and assisting in the digitization of medical records and confidential client and staff information. The ideal candidate will be a proactive learner with excellent organizational skills and a keen interest in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Assist in the onboarding process of new staff, including credential verification and documentation.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital files, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the digitization process of medical records and other confidential documents, ensuring accurate data entry and secure storage.
- Support the management of the electronic health records (EHR) system, including scanning, indexing, and retrieving records as needed.
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to collect and update staff credentials and other required documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the management team, including preparing reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and other activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Management, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
