Growth Intern

(remote within North American time-zone)

(May - August - 16 week paid internship)

Role Overview:

In the role of Growth Intern, you'll have the opportunity to support the growth of Disco's business by collaborating and working closely with the GTM (go-to market) team across the organization. In this role you will support our demand generation activities, including: identification of leads, completing customer research and reaching out to qualified prospects. This role will support cross-organizationally on key marketing & growth activities, such as: marketing collateral creation, competitive research, social media marketing, content marketing and more. 

This role will report into our Head of Revenue. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Identification - collaborate with GTM team to ideate, create & iterate on leads lists 
  • Sales Research & Validation - perform research to validate lead lists that meet our ICP; perform research to support & enable sales personalization efforts
  • Data Enrichment - work with key sales tools (i.e. LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LemList) to enrich lead lists & optimize sales processes 
  • Personalized Outreach - delivery highly compelling & personalized outreach to prospective customers
  • Marketing Collateral - collaborate with the GTM team on sales & marketing collateral
  • Competitive Research - deep dive into our competitors + create internal resources to educate our team
  • Social Media / Content Marketing - work closely with product + marketing on our social media & content marketing efforts 

Who you are: 

  • You have experience in B2B and/or B2C sales, business development, and marketing (including work experiences and/or extra curricular activities). 
  • You are working towards a degree or are a recent grad in Commerce or Business Administration (preferred)
  • Take initiative: You are known for your strong work ethic and go-getter mentality. You have a bias to action in taking the simplest path, and know when to ask questions along the way.
  • Relationship-Builder: You pride yourself on your ability to build genuine connections with a wide range of people. You understand the importance of building strong relationships, and listening to customers

  • Communication: You're able to create and deliver messaging succinctly in a way that resonates with your target audience and inspires action, thanks to your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Empathy: Emotional intelligence is one of your superpowers. You understand how others succeed by stepping into their shoes and showing that you care.
  • Diligence: You are thorough, meticulous, and have astonishing attention to detail and documentation.
  • Organization: You are extremely organized and pride yourself on your ability to follow-up and follow-through.
  • Owner: You act like an owner and take ownership for mistakes. You don't place blame on others, and instead look for ways to be accountable.
  • Experience with sales & marketing tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LemList is an asset
