Reporting to the HRBP, the HR Coordinator - Intern will support the human resources department in various administrative tasks related, including but not limited to HR process analysis & documentation, Job Analysis, Workforce Planning, HRIS Data Management and organizational policies.
Role Purpose :
Based out of the Surrey location of Terus Construction, HR Coordinator - Intern provides support to HRBP in analysing & defining HR processes, writing process notes & checklists, designing workforce planning templates, writing impactful job descriptions, structuring HRIS data & designing HR dashboards, managing paperwork related to job scope change, hiring & rehiring etc. HR Coordinator – Intern is also required to dive deep into data, crunch numbers and generating reports to inform key decision-makers.

Experience and Education Required for the Role:
• Currently pursuing or finished a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• One year of HR experience (desirable)
Abilities • You’re a people person – You’re comfortable talking with anyone, delivering engaging presentations, and maintaining a professional demeanour
• You’ve become a virtual meeting master – You’re comfortable communicating with team members over virtual platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
• You love working with data and crunching numbers – you’ve used your analytical and problem-solving skills to create detailed reports (experience with advanced Excel functions is a strong asset)
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment – You can set goals, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• You have a high level of attention to detail - You can be trusted to work with confidential data
• You love working with technology and learning new programs – Previous exposure to an HRIS system would be an asset
• You can work independently and in teams – You’re comfortable working both from the office and from home, connecting with teams across Canada
