Job Description
What will you do?
You will join the RBC Insurance Investments team throughout the winter. The roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Design and implement data-driven solutions to support the CIO office's strategic initiatives.
Liaison between the ALM & Analytics Team, Trading Execution Team, Direct Lending Team, Total Fund Management Team and Research & Asset Allocation Team to develop and maintain process to monitor investment performance, governance, risk, and reporting.
Streamline and enhance data-driven operating model to deliver accurate and reliable information for Subject Matter Experts.
Assist with Data-driven, AI-enabled investment platform to analyze liability, trading opportunities, performance attribution, asset allocation, risk management and reporting.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science and actively writing SOA exams.
Prior actuarial co-op or internship experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication skills and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have
Passed Predictive Analytics (PA) exam.
Hands on AXIS modeling experience.
Familiar with SQL and Power BI.
Highly motivated self-starter and team player.
Please note:
In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
