What’s the Opportunity?

Entuitive is always interested in connecting with curious, motivated structural engineering students and new graduates who are excited about the built environment and eager to learn in a collaborative consulting setting.

We welcome expressions of interest from students who would like to be considered for future co-op, internship, or new graduate opportunities with our Ottawa team.

Our work spans the repair and restoration of existing buildings, as well as the design and construction of new structures. We’re passionate about what we do and pride ourselves on delivering thoughtful, high-quality solutions for our clients.

What will you do

Depending on project needs and your experience, opportunities may include:

• Structural analysis, design, and engineering calculations
• Computer modelling and use of industry-standard analysis tools
• Assisting with the production of engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with BIM technologists and engineers
• Supporting field reviews and shop drawing reviews
• Assist in construction related engineering tasks
• Working with project teams to deliver a high level of client service
• Learning and applying Entuitive’s quality assurance processes
• Contributing to the development of technical standards, tools, and best practices
• Other project-related tasks as needed

What do you need to succeed?

• Enrollment in an undergraduate civil or structural engineering program
• Completion (or ongoing coursework) in Structural Concrete and/or Structural Steel Design
• Interest in structural consulting, building design, or construction
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Exposure to tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SAP, ETABS, SAFE, and/or RAM is considered an asset
• A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn
