Reports To: Manager, Athletic Operations – Varsity

Mission: To create an environment that inspires a passion for student success.

Desired Results of the Position:

• Timely setup and takedown, clean athletic venues ready to go for events.

Nature and Scope

Reporting to the Facility and Equipment Coordinator, this position is responsible for the setup and takedown of equipment and the cleanliness before and after varsity games and event rentals.

Job Duties

• The Varsity Crew will assist with Varsity Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball home events.


• Assists with the setup of the athletic venue according to the event.


• Assists with minor maintenance and cleanliness during the games – i.e. water spills, sweeping the floor, etc.


• During volleyball games works the 3-ball system.


• Assists with the takedown and cleaning of the venue and seating areas following home events.


• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Enrolled as an Algonquin College Student.


• Physically capable to lift/move heavy sports equipment (30 lbs).


• Ability to stand for two games back to back, approximately 5 hours.


• Available to work all home games on the weekends (afternoon and evening games).

Compensation

• $17.60 per hour
