Job Description - Automation Process Co-op

Join Our Team as an Automation Process Co-op Student at Johnson Electric!

Location: Ancaster, ON (Onsite)
Salary Range: $22 to $24 per hour
Vacancy Type: Co-op Position
Schedule: Full-time, From 8 am to 4 pm
Relocation: Not Applicable
Travel: No

As our next Automation Process Co-op Student, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting process development and automation initiatives within our Global Automation and Assembly (GAA) facility. Your hands-on approach and technical knowledge will help us design, validate, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and all Johnson Electric policies.

  • Support the preparation of concept designs for new processes.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams on technical activities.

  • Create process engineering documentation and requirements for new equipment.

  • Assist in Proof of Concept creation and validation.

  • Perform tasks independently while working closely with team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a technical degree or diploma in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Basic competency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

  • Familiarity with hand tools and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Office software.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, and committed to meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
