Bruce Power is visiting UNB on February 25th 2026 and is now accepting applications for Student (Co‑op) opportunities and New Graduate / Early Career Engineering roles at our Tiverton site. Bruce Power is offering Engineering Development Student roles for 4‑month, 8‑month, or 12‑month work terms for students currently enrolled in an Engineering undergrad program.
Engineering Development Students are embedded within one of our core engineering groups, supporting operational priorities, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Engineering Areas Include:
Design Engineering – Managing plant design basis, driving equipment performance, safety margins, and standardized solutions across the life of the stations.
Station Engineering – Supporting safe, reliable station operation through equipment reliability oversight, long‑term strategies, and direct support for emergent issues.
Reactor Safety Engineering – Protecting public, environmental, and worker safety by maintaining and enhancing nuclear safety margins.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze engineering data to support business decisions
Assist engineers with technical evaluations and problem solving
Prepare technical documentation (specifications, calculations, procedures)
Track, monitor, and present performance metrics
Support monthly reporting and documentation standards
Student Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a full‑time Engineering degree
Completed a minimum of one year of post‑secondary studies
Returning to full‑time studies following the work term or require a co‑op term to graduate
Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and safety mindset

Are you graduating in May 2026 or looking to transition into nuclear from another industry? Bruce Power offers early career engineering roles supporting the safe operation of our 8 operating units and our Life Extension and Major Component Replacement programs, enabling station operations through 2064 and beyond.
A Day in the Life:
Engineers at Bruce Power provide technical evaluations, solve complex problems, and coordinate engineering work supporting commissioning, operations, maintenance, and long‑term asset reliability. Opportunities range from hands‑on station roles to project‑based design work, including plant walkthroughs and system integration activities.
Engineering Roles Include:
Engineer (Occupation Code 670325)
4‑year Engineering degree (Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Nuclear)
Ontario Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) required
Typically 6–8 years of experience
Engineer Trainee (Occupation Code 670207)
4‑year Engineering degree (Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Nuclear)
Working toward P.Eng. within 4 years
Typically 2–4 years of experience
Key Skills & Attributes:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Interest in clean energy and nuclear innovation
Adaptability, learning agility, and continuous improvement mindset
Nuclear experience is an asset, but not required
