Business Development & Partnerships (BD&P) Intern (1 vacancy)
OBI’s paid internships are competitive and offer unique training opportunities for you to learn, to be mentored, and to develop valuable “beyond the bench” skills to help launch your career. You will work in a stimulating environment, while gaining experience that will advance your career path. Past interns have leveraged the opportunity into vibrant careers in companies and not-for-profit organizations, where employers value the quality of OBI interns.
Interns are assigned to a specific team and work collaboratively across teams within OBI to broaden experiences as part of OBI’s mandate to train the next generation of leaders in Ontario’s neurotech cluster. OBI internships run for a six-month term starting in May.
The BD&P Intern will support ongoing activities aimed at building and strengthening OBI’s commercialization pipeline, with a particular focus on OBI’s community-led neurotech testing program (CORTEX). The intern will be involved in the following activities:
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with an MSc. or PhD. in Neuroscience, or a related field. You have demonstrated interest and understanding of the importance of commercializing research, knowledge of Ontario’s neurotech and life sciences ecosystems, and are committed to improving overall brain health. You have also demonstrated interest in the medtech or healthtech startup community, entrepreneurship, and fundraising.
You are a results-oriented, creative, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You are versatile and flexible in your ability to coordinate multiple tasks and anticipate and modify your work plans to meet evolving priorities.
