Chemical Summer Intern

Ayrton Energy's vision is to provide affordable, off-grid energy security via clean, safe and scalable storage technologies​.  Ayrton is looking for a chemistry or chemical engineering student with experience in a chemical laboratory to join our team.  As part of a fast-growing startup, the scientist in this role can anticipate a large variety of changing role responsibilities as the team grows.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with Senior Scientists to run experiments and report on results


• Preparation of chemical samples for characterization and testing


• Assembly and disassembly of test stations


• Routine Data analysis

Your Skills and Experience:

• Undergraduate student in chemistry, physics or engineering with lab experience (may be from classes) looking for summer employment


• Passionate about innovation, self-motivated and keen to learn


• Organized and efficiently able to manage time for laboratory protocols.


• Experience in a research and development laboratory environment is beneficial


• Experience with electrochemical systems (fuel cells, electrolyzers, etc) is beneficial


• Knowledge of Python for data analysis is beneficial
