Rainy River
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. About The Role
Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off – 12 hours / day. Tuesday travel in, Wednesday first working day

Position Overview
The Civil Engineering Co-Op Student (Projects) position offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in an active mining environment, with learning and growth opportunities in the areas of mine infrastructure project management, tailings dam raise construction, and mine reclamation and closure. The opportunity is available on a fly-in-flyout (FIFO) rotation, working 12 hour days on two weeks on two weeks off schedule, for an either 4-month, 8-month, 12month, or 16-month term beginning in Fall 2026. Applicants are to outline their term availability on both resume and cover letter submissions.

The Civil Engineering Co-Op Student (Projects) will report to the Projects Technical Supervisor who will direct work assignments in field and office. Field and office assignments will include providing field supervision for construction contractors, completing engineered design reviews, project estimating, scheduling, coordination, quality control inspection, progress measurement, reporting, and administration as well as other duties as assigned. Tasks and assignments will be varied for student exposure across Capital Projects and the Coeur Rainy River Mine site including exposure to other business areas where possible. Field work may occur in all weather conditions. The Civil Engineering Co-Op Student (Projects) will work from the main site administration office in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position will be between $55,000.00 -$74,000.00.
