Job Description - Client Services Student - Markham

Starting Salary: $17.60/hr
Location: Markham

As a Client Services Student, you will:

Make reminder calls and texts to clients about workshops and appointments
Inform and register clients for workshops
Compile new and updated materials for clients
Provide reception coverage: answer telephones efficiently and accurately
Assist clients in the Resource Centre
Provide clerical support, format documents, set up tracking sheets, enter information, etc.
Organize supplies and documents, and archive old client files
Assist other JVS Toronto locations remotely if needed

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Enrolled in, or a graduate of a post-secondary school program
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Computer literate in software used by the agency (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
A clear Police Check and Vulnerable Sector check is required

Under the terms of our government funding, you must meet the following requirements:

Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations;
Hold a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
