The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) is the regulatory body that sets standards and enforces the mandatory licensing of condominium managers and management provider businesses. About the Opportunity
The CMRAO is looking for an intern to join its Communications and Outreach team. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Outreach, the successful candidate for this position will assist in the day-to-day operations of CMRAO’s Communications and Outreach department. You will join a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team. With fundamental design skills already in place, this internship/co-op placement is a chance for you to start building your career in communications. You will receive coaching and learning opportunities that support personal and professional development and opportunities to expand your skillset and work portfolio.
What you Will Do
Provide general support to the Communications and Outreach team
Play a key role with the development of social media content
Assist with the development of web content, videos, and graphics
Assist with research projects and reporting
Assist with tracking and preparing for stakeholder events
What you Need to Succeed
Must-have:
Dependability, flexibility, and willingness to learn new things
Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback
Strong interpersonal and well-developed communication skills (verbal and written)
Organized and detail oriented
Good computer skills and some proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Capacity to work independently and with others
Experience working with Canva
Nice-to-have:
Previous experience working in a corporate environment
Should be able to work effectively and reliably under pressure
Graphic design knowledge – experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator an asset
Experience with social media management tools an asset
Basic video production skills and experience with iMovie, Premiere Pro, and After Effects an asset
Working Conditions
Work is performed at least two days a week in a typical office environment.
May be required to work extended hours to meet program volume demands.
Occasional travel may be required.
Work is performed in an environment dealing with time pressures and competing priorities.
There is a 30-day probationary period for this position.
