Position Summary
The Community Services Summer Student will support the Community Services Supervisor in the Long-Term Care Division.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Administration and Community Services:
• Data entry
• Event planning
• Assist with community presentations and events
• Assist with the Lambton County Connects Program
• Assist in the Adult Day Programs
General:
• Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed
• Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis.

Credentials Required
Minimum Formal Education
• Currently enrolled in the Social Services field, Recreation Therapy or other related field at a recognized university or college.
Experience
• The ability to work both independently and with a small team are required.
Summer Student positions with the County of Lambton may be dependent on funding and the funding criteria, which specifies that students must:
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age
• Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
• Canadian citizens, permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Will not have another full-time job
