This is a general posting for our Co-op and PEY student opportunities starting in January 2027 or May 2027. Specific placement details, including term length, department, hours per week, hiring manager, salary, working arrangement and location will vary depending on the vacancy the successful student is selected for.

How You Will Make an Impact

Typical responsibilities for an engineering student on one of our technical teams may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform technical work in the laboratory under supervision of senior technologists


• Participate in test setup, data acquisition systems, and carrying out tests 


• Assist technologists and mechanical engineers in carrying out customer-related projects


• Participate in conductor condition assessment projects, complete data sheets and write templated reports

Typical responsibilities for a student on one of our central teams (Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Purchasing and Marketing) may include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and input data into appropriate business and accounting systems such as SAP and run reports


• Provide various types of financial support such as reconciliations, maintaining records, and processing updates to databases


• Perform administrative tasks and calculations


• Order materials, supplies, and/or equipment


• Assist with mail coordination and delivery

What You Need to Succeed

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary, undergraduate university or college program and will return to full-time studies at the end of the term


• High level of initiative, and analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent written and oral communication, time management and interpersonal skills


• Basic computer skills are required (Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word and PowerPoint

For engineering co-op & PEY opportunities:

• Disciplines required include Computer Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Civil or Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.


• Sound, fundamental knowledge of engineering and/or science principles


• Familiarity with programming software would be an asset

For opportunities in one of our central teams (Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Purchasing and Marketing):

• Disciplines required include Business Administration or Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Supply Chain, Economics, and related fields


• Familiarity with SAP or S4HANA would be an asset
