What you'll be doing 

Join CIBC’s Real Estate team, where you’ll play a key role in supporting new lease acquisitions. In this position, you’ll conduct site analysis, inspect building conditions, and participate in test fits to assess suitability for CIBC’s needs. You’ll also contribute to implementation drawings and collaborate with external partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Important information 

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role. 
  • Recruitment timeline: Applications review – January/February; Interviews – February/March; Offers – March 
  • Please include your resume (no more than 2 pages), a cover letter (no more than 1 page), and your most recent unofficial transcript with your application. These should all be uploaded into the Resume section of the application as one document  
  • Work Location:  81 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario  
  • Duration of term: 4 months (May 2026 – August 2026) 
  • Please note, we have multiple positions available under this posting and you may be considered by more than one hiring team. 

How you’ll succeed 

  • Architectural Skills & Visualization –. Proficient in AutoCUT and other visualization programs, which is considered an asset. Demonstrates the ability to translate concepts into detailed technical drawings and visual representations, supporting effective project planning and communication
  • Collaboration - Collaborating with internal risk partners to analyze key risks and mitigation strategies in existing and new credits. 
  • Time Management - You'll ensure timely production and distribution of performance reports and statements of net worth. 
  • Assisting the team - You'll provide exceptional client service and perform general administrative and operational support. 
  • Building efficiencies - You'll drive continuous improvement of operational policies and procedures supporting various other activities. 

 
Who you are 

  • Pursuing a Degree in Architecture – Currently enrolled in an accredited architectural program
  • Adaptability – Willingness to learn new tools and processes quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to Detail – Maintains high accuracy in all aspects of work, from design to documentation.
  • Strong Communication – Able to convey ideas clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing You put our clients first. You have strong client and relationship management skills. You engage with purpose to find the right solutions.
