Job Description - Digital Technical Sales Intern

SLB is seeking a highly motivated Digital Technical Sales Intern to join our Digital Sales team in Calgary. This opportunity is designed for students in their final year of a bachelor\u2019s degree in petroleum engineering, Geology, or a related discipline, who are interested in gaining hands\u2011on exposure to digital technologies supporting the energy industry in Canada. The intern will be exposed to how digital solutions are positioned and introduced to customers, gaining insights into client needs, technology capabilities, and the oil and gas market in Alberta. For more information about SLB, please visit slb.com.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities\n\n * Gain exposure to SLB\u2019s digital technologies and their applications across the energy industry.\n * Develop an understanding of customer needs and how digital solutions can create value in field operations and subsurface workflows.\n * Support client outreach initiatives, including introductory and exploratory calls to prospective and existing customers, and assist with early\u2011stage customer engagement under the guidance of the technical sales team.\n * Learn about the Canadian oil and gas market, with a focus on Alberta, and how digital innovation supports industry challenges.\n * Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to understand solution positioning and customer engagement strategies.\n * Contribute to internal activities related to market research, customer profiling, and preparation of digital solution discussions.\n\n\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\n * Currently in the final year of a bachelor\u2019s degree in petroleum engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.\n * Strong interest in digital technologies and their application within the oil and gas industry, particularly in technology\u2011driven solutions and customer engagement.\n * No prior work experience required; relevant coursework, projects, volunteer experience, or previous customer service or sales experience is considered an asset.\n * Basic understanding of oil and gas concepts, with curiosity and willingness to learn more about the Canadian energy industry.\n * Strong communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.\n * Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.\n\n\n\nSchlumberger Canada Limited is committed to workplace diversity and employment equity and supports initiatives to enhance employment opportunities for local workforces and Indigenous Persons.\n\n#LI-DB1\n\n.\n
