E&I Reliability Engineering- Coop Student

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability Engineering student, you’ll support the E&I team in delivering timely technical support focused on safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. You’ll work with low, medium, and high voltage systems central to refinery operations contributing to long-term reliability initiatives. The role offers a mix of field and office work; with exposure to electrical and instrumentation systems.

The Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability team and the team is located onsite at our Saint John Refinery.

Responsibilities:  

• Failure analysis of electrical and instrumentation systems

• Field work - surveying and analysis

• Review and validation of P&ID’s

• Design review, updates and changes as needed

Your Skills:  

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Self-motivated; ability to work independently

• Ability to work within a team environment and meet deadlines

• Safety conscious; follow procedures accurately

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD

Your Experience:  

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Engineering program with a focus in Electrical Engineering.
