About the Position:

Walters is recruiting a Co-op student for Spring 2026 to assist the Health and Safety Department, in the Walters Corporate Office. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Work with the Health and Safety Specialist in developing a system for documenting, updating and maintaining safety related training & testing.


• Collect and compile data and assist in preparing reports.


• Support the learning management system and software for data collection (Weekly system audits of Safetyhub/Sitedocs)


• Maintain HSE signs, posters, and communication boards. 


• Participate in safety inspections and audits to verify compliance and escalate issues as required. 


• Ensure scheduled milestones are met.


• Provide support for other health and safety related projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.

Work Location:

• Head office in Hamilton ON.

Position Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a registered college diploma/advanced-diploma, post-secondary co-op program in Health and Safety or a similar field


• Knowledgeable in OHSA and applicable regulations.


• Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills


• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all written and verbal communication


• A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision.


• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
