  • Hourly Rate: $20.24 per hour (rate effective January 1, 2026)
  • Hours per Week: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday with occasional need to work weekends
  • Position Location: Keene, ON. Please be advised that this location is not accessible through public transportation.

What you'll do:
As a member of the Facilities team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining clean and safe County buildings and properties. Your role will encompass various duties to provide you with a comprehensive experience in facility management and site upkeep.

 
  • Ground Maintenance: You will complete duties such as lawn cutting, weed whacking, landscaping, and minor repairs to buildings and equipment.
  • Sanitation and Cleaning: You’ll be involved in keeping our village and facilities clean by assisting with cleaning and collecting and disposing of garbage and recycling.
  • Building Repairs and Maintenance: You will assist in minor repairs and general upkeep of buildings and properties.
In accordance with County Policy, a Vulnerable Sector Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment.

This job is for you if…
  • Our non-negotiables: You are a current student and are either returning to school in the fall or graduating in 2026. You have flexible availability and are available to work occasional weekends throughout the summer. You have a valid, Ontario G2 (or higher) driver’s license, a clean driver’s abstract, and are comfortable operating a light-duty pick-up truck. You have, or are willing purchase, CSA-approved footwear before the start date.
  • Experience: You have experience in, or are interested in gaining experience in, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or welding. You've honed your skills in lawn care and have experience in building repairs and/or building trades associated with building maintenance and facilities operations.
  • Skills We’re Looking For: You have a knack for clear communication and are dedicated to providing top-notch service to both internal and external customers. You thrive both independently and as part of a team, effortlessly adapting to changing demands and priorities.
