Job Brief

Fundy Harbour Group is looking for a summer student to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills; excellent communication and can multitask. Some additional and necessary qualities we are seeking is an individual who maintains confidentiality, is reliable and eager to learn. This position reports to the Controller. Responsibilities

• Work with senior management and other team members in developing financial models and analyses.


• Contribute to various finance-related projects.


• Track and maintain various financial information and records as required.


• Perform day-to-day accounting functions using QuickBooks, excel and other accounting software.


• Provide coverage for team members who are out sick or are on vacation.


• Maintain a high degree of attention to detail.


• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude throughout all interactions.


• Adherence to clinic infection control policies and practices.


• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Business Administration program. Focus on Finance or Accounting is an asset. 


• Organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task is critical.


• Experience using Excel and Microsoft Office suite. 


• Coordination and management of conflicting priorities. 


• High level of motivation, maturity and dependability. 


• Fast learner and open to feedback. 


• Strong attention to detail and;


• Team player and an ability to collaborate. 

The Employee is accountable to the Controller (or such other person as identified from time to time). The Employee’s normal working hours will be 40 hours per week, between Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with 30 Minutes for lunch unpaid. The Employer reserves the right to modify the Employee’s work schedule from time to time.

The Employee will work from the Employer’s offices in Saint John, NB. The Employer reserves the right to change the Employee’s usual hours of work and location of work from time to time.
