Finance Intern

CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill a new vacancy in the role of Finance Student / Intern (June to August, approx 3-4 months).

Purpose

The Finance Student / Intern provides support to the accounting department with finace project-related tasks.

      Duties and Responsibilities

• Support finance-related projects including:
  
  
  
  • Finance Policy updates and documentation
  
  
  
  


• Maintain and update budget tracking files (Excel):
  
  
  
  • Work closely with department managers and Business Controller
  
  
  • Validate and maintain accurate and up-to-date budget data
  
  
  • Assist in preparing budget communication materials
  
  
  
  


• Support vendor-focused finance initiatives, including:
  
  
  
  • Updating banking information
  
  
  • Maintaining business partner master data
  
  
  
  

To succeed, you will need

 Qualification Requirements

• Good organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)


• Strong attention to detail, enjoy data entry and commitment to accuracy


• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively


• Comfortable working in Excel and data-driven tasks

   Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Diploma in business, finance or accounting is preferred


• Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in a qualifying co-operative education program


• Strong Microsoft office (word and excel) skills


• ERP experience (e.g., ACCPAC and SAP knowledge) is an asset


• Previous office administrative and finance/accounting working experience is an asset

The expected rate for this position is $21.47 per hour. The final compensation may vary due to factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
