We are seeking a dynamic and motivated FP&A Co-op Student to join our team this Summer term. If you're ready to dive into a sea of opportunities and tackle hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis, this role is for you! With a focus on supporting supply chain financial analysis, the position is ideal for students in their 3rd or 4th year of university or college, or those who have recently graduated. You will have the chance to work on diverse projects, collaborate with internal business partners, and support various FP&A initiatives, ensuring you gain valuable skills and experience while working in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
Assist the Sr. Supply Chain Financial Analyst in analyzing financial data related to supply chain operations.
Prepare financial reports and presentations to support decision-making processes.
Conduct variance analysis and identify trends and areas for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by collecting and analyzing relevant data.
Assist in the preparation of budget templates and financial models.
Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, and provide insights on variances.
Collect, organize, and maintain financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Utilize financial software and tools to analyze and report on financial performance.
Process Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to financial planning and analysis.
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for FP&A processes.
Qualifications:
Co-op Student enrolled in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Engineering or other related program.
Experience in MS Excel preferred.
Excellent people skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather information and solve problems.
