Junior Archaeologist (Co-Op)

Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in forestry, heritage, wildfire planning and resource analysis. We are currently looking to add a Junior Archaeologist Co-Op Student to our Heritage team for 2026.

Responsibilities: 

As a Junior Archaeologist you will be responsible for the following:

• Practice archaeological excavation techniques, using digital archaeological site-recording practices, and regulatory archaeological practices


• This is a field based role working on archaeological excavations, field surveys, impact statements, and community orientated projects


• Work alongside First Nations’ archaeologists, technicians and Knowledge Keepers throughout the Southern Interior 
  

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Currently enrolled in Anthropology, First Nations & Indigenous Studies, Geography, or Earth Sciences


• Willingness to work in close collaboration with First Nations


• Interest in working in “anti-colonial” business perspectives


• Experience working outdoors or hobbies related to outdoor activities


• Familiarity with syilx, Secwépemc, Sinixt, and/or Nlaka’pamux cultural heritage is considered an asset
