Job Description - Labour & Immigration Specialist Co-op Student

As a Labour Relations Student, you will support workforce planning, labour analysis, and administrative processes that help manage labour risk and contractor workforce operations. 

The Supply Management – Labour Relations team focuses on workforce management, labour market intelligence, and contractor oversight across refinery operations. The team works closely with Legal, HR, Safety, and Security to manage contractor access, labour risks, and compliance processes. This team sits within Supply Management and supports operations across the refinery and associated sites. 

Responsibilities 

  • Maintain and organize labour relations documentation, including agreements, wage schedules, and internal records to ensure systems stay up to date 

  • Support projects by collecting data, building reports, and creating dashboards or visual summaries to track labour trends and workforce insights 

  • Assist in developing and updating tools such as quarterly labour updates, strike protocols, and workforce planning templates 

  • Provide support in interpreting collective agreements and preparing information for stakeholders 

  • Contribute to improving internal systems and processes through cleanup and modernization efforts 

Your Skills 

  • Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail 

  • Clear communication skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 

  • Interest in labour relations and workforce management 

  • Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools is an asset 

Your Experience 

  • Currently enrolled in a Business Administration program completing 2nd or 3rd year of study with a strong interest in labour relations   

  • Must have completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education and be returning to school
