Support assigned Manufacturing Engineering activities as directed by the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and designated Manufacturing Engineers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide support to Manufacturing Engineering personnel as assigned.
Work effectively as a Manufacturing Engineering support team member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and that any required corrective actions are actively pursued.
Maintain up‑to‑date information on manufacturing engineering tasks within the manufacturing cell log.
Design or specify assigned equipment, tooling, and racking required to support manufacturing operations.
Assist with assigning default locators to parts within assigned manufacturing cells.
Help update standard work instructions and support assigned manufacturing cells as needed.
Assist in updating and maintaining layouts, including plant and cell layouts, inventory maps, housekeeping maps, and emergency/security maps.
Participate in and help facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, setup reduction, etc.).
Contribute to continuous improvement activities and promote effective teamwork.
Conduct process observations as assigned to ensure that time standards are fair, accurate, and consistently applied.
Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned to assist with the disposition of non‑conforming materials.
Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program.
Relevant coursework and hands-on experience in related technical areas.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to be punctual and professional.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience with AutoCAD, UniGraphics (NX) will be considered as an asset.
