About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold District’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality. Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform housekeeping in the mill and the crusher buildings (ex: hosing slurry/shoveling ore and dust)


• Painting of handrails, guards and anything else that would need painting


• Clean up around the outside of the mill and crusher area (garbage, steel, parts, etc.)

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be enrolled in post secondary


• The age of 17 or older


• Must be able to wear a silicone half mask when needed


• Able to do physical work

Working Conditions:

• Work in a dusty environment at times


• Work around chemicals


• Going up and downs stairs


• Working around stationary and moveable equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs


• Work long hours (12-hour shifts)


• Pay or shift range: $19 CAD  to $31.97 CAD
