The University of the Fraser Valley Student Union Society (SUS) is a BC Not-For-Profit Society representing and serving UFV students. The Society manages the Student Union Building and facilitates services such as the UFV U-PASS, food services, and the student health and dental plan. SUS also provides support to an active community by organizing events and provides wellness and developmental programming. Programs and Events Assistant
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Duration: July 13 to August 28, 2026
Salary: $19.23 per hour
Reporting to: Programs and Events Coordinator
The UFV Student Union Society (SUS) is looking for a motivated and creative Special Events Program Planner to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of SUS events, programs, and student engagement initiatives.
This temporary summer role is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in event planning, student services, campus programming and community engagement. The successful candidate will assist with the development and execution of SUS events and programs, support Clubs and Associations, and help identify new and innovative ways to connect with students on campus.
The Special Events Program Planner will work closely with SUS staff across departments, communicate with students and Clubs and Associations, liaise with vendors and suppliers, and support the overall success of SUS programming.
