Promo Analyst - Co-op Student

As a part of the Super Market Promo team, the Loblaw summer student team member will be leveraging data science concepts to help identify opportunities, develop solutions, and integrate them into our core business processes.  Our summer program will include all aspects of merchandising including price elasticity and promotional optimization, customer segmentations, loyalty offer targeting, and portfolio management. 

A successful summer student colleague will be:

• You enjoy the data-centric parts of solving problems
• Assist in creating the weekly flyer  (i.e. front page, rotation and analytics)
• Conduct promotion specific historical analysis to assist in item selection
• A motivated self-starter and a relentless problem solver.
• Comfortable working on their own and within a team.
• Able to manage multiple initiatives with firm deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a professional environment interacting with all levels within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in undergraduate degree like Business, Finance, or Economics
• Experience with Excel and displaying data in excel.
• Ability to convert data to insight, insight to recommendations and recommendations into an action plan.
