DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Researcher to join our team, to assist in leading and delivering on our Electronic Logging Device (ELD) testing program. This is a 6 month temporary position.

• Have an interest in heavy vehicle safety and the transportation sector in Canada?

WORK LOCATION : Pointe-Claire, QC or remote

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test and evaluate performance and certification compliance of vehicle telematics systems such as ELD technologies.


• Conduct in-field and lab-based testing of vehicle telematics systems.


• Implement detailed test procedures, record results, and report on study results in a clear and concise manner. 


• Develop and participate in project proposals and meet all reporting requirements in a timely manner.


• Collaboratively develop, propose, and conduct research projects and contracts for industry nationwide with different internal teams / external partners


• Write detailed reports and present them to both internal and external clients in a summary format that clearly displays the impact of the work


• Be a trusted collaborator in safety matters; adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures


• Coordinate with clients and manage contracts for ELD certification


• Work closely with management to organize and facility the certification process 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering


• Member of a professional engineering order/association (or ability to register, may consider EIT)


• Experience in vehicle telematic systems an asset;


• Experience or knowledge of ISO quality management systems an asset

• Ability to understand and execute detailed test procedures and protocols


• Previous project management experience


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Ability to collect, organize, and present test results
