Summer Student – Art Centre Assistant

The City of Kenora is looking for students for summer employment! This is your chance to be part of a dynamic and innovative team of professionals who work hard to ensure the best possible experience for all of our residents and visitors. Reporting to the Director of the Muse, students will have the opportunity to work with Art Centre staff on projects such as assisting with research, educational programming, and exhibit curation. Students will also share responsibility for front desk reception, including admissions, and gift shop sales at both locations. Students may also have the opportunity to be assigned special project tasks which may involve assisting with preventative conservation, collections management, exhibit mounting and dismantling, and general maintenance.
Qualifications:
Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, including some weekends, evenings and statutory holidays.
Rate: $19.33/hr
Students will be required to provide the City with a clean vulnerable sector criminal record check and proof of enrolment if successful in a summer position with the City of Kenora.
