This role will include providing administrative support in the planning, organization, and implementation of event initiatives such as community events, festivals, a creative arts festival, entertainment in public spaces, workshops, and more. This position will be responsible to attend event dates in person and assist with logistics, set-up, implementation and take-down of event activities and activations in compliance with policies and industry guidelines. This position will collaborate closely with the Caledon Public Library, Downtown Bolton Business Improvement Area (“BIA”), Caledon Chamber of Commerce, village associations around Caledon and other members of Community Engagement staff.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to Events Coordinator, Community Engagement, the Student, Events works with internal staff across multiple divisions, as well as external events and community stakeholders to collaboratively organize and implement elements of Town of Caledon Events. As the Student, Events, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking two passionate students working towards a diploma and are returning to school in Fall of 2026 or have graduated in the past 6 months.
The ideal candidates will have demonstrated minimum 1-2 years related experience in event management. We are seeking individuals with superior customer service skills, a demonstrated ability to provide customer service excellence that reflects Caledon’s quality standards: accurate, courteous, responsive, and easy to navigate.
The Student, Events must be available to work onsite at Caledon Day on Saturday, June 20, 2026, and the week leading up to Caledon Day from June 15 to June 19. The Student, Events must be available to work onsite at Music in The Park every Thursday evening in July and August. Additional event dates for onsite support on evenings or weekends will be communicated to the Student, Events.
This position offers an hourly rate of $20.62.
Satisfactory proof of schooling or return to school, may be requested.
