Job Description - Student Placement - Master's Level (Fall 2026)

New Path Youth and Family Services has a proud history of mentoring the next generation of community and social service professionals.  We are an accredited children's mental health agency providing a range of compassionate, innovative and accessible services for children, youth and their families throughout Simcoe County. Unpaid Student Placement: Master’s Level


 


Master’s level Programs and Services at New Path:



  • Youth and Family Therapy Program


 


Goal of the position



  • To provide assessment and therapy support services to children, youth and their families.

  • May include provision of services within our Live In Treatment Service (LITS).


 


Client populations may include diverse presentations such as:



  • Mood Disorders

  • Trauma or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE)

  • Harmful sexual behaviour or sexual offending behaviour

  • Self-harming behaviour, suicidal ideations

  • Eating disorder(s).



Student Responsibilities:



  • Individual Therapy

  • Family Therapy

  • Group Facilitation

  2. All applications will be reviewed and you will be contacted via email within 4-6 weeks if your application has been successful.

  3. If successful, the next step is to participate in an interview with a New Path staff member.
