Cameco Fuel Manufacturing, is seeking an ambitious, energetic, quantitatively adept individual with an interest in furthering their knowledge in Industrial Automation and Controls.  This is a placement opportunity for a third year Electromechanical Student. The opportunity would provide the successful candidate the opportunity to experience working with Senior Technologists and Engineers providing front-line support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position and Responsibilities

• Provide day to day support of the existing manufacturing systems, production loss tracking system, and infrastructure, including but not limited to robotics, HMI/PLC control systems, SCADA, and SQL software and hardware

• Develop algorithms and user interface screens for various processes


• Assist with troubleshooting of electromechanical systems


• Assist with configuration of software to eliminate paper records from the process

• Assist in network design and hardware troubleshooting


• Assist with testing & documentation


• Other duties may be assigned

Education and Qualifications

• Technical aptitude, a hands-on mindset and software proficiency in MS Office and Windows operating systems.  Experience in various programming languages would be an asset.
