Job Description - Student - Roadside Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Roads Superintendent
LOCATION(S): South Dumfries / Mount Pleasant / Mount Vernon

Responsibilities/Duties:
Reporting to an Area Patrol Yard within the County of Brant, you will assist the Roads Division with the following:

Flagging as required for traffic control.
Grass cutting/trimming.
Roadwork patching.
Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

Outdoor work experience with ability to undertake physical work in all weather conditions.
Physical ability to carry out essential job duties.
Knowledge and experience in a municipal government setting would be considered an asset.
Valid driver's licence (G or G2).
Acceptable driver's abstract required.
CSA approved work boots must be personally supplied by the successful candidate.

Duration: May to September
Hourly Rate: $18.39 (under 18) $19.35 (over 18) / 2025 rate
Hours per week: 40

You must be enrolled in a post-secondary Institution and returning to school in the fall in order to qualify for this position.
