Mission 

The Industrial Structure Intern will be working in the CIMA+ St. John’s office reporting to the Team Lead/Manager for Technologists. The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.   

Main Responsibilities 

• Assist, in using AutoCAD and AutoCAD platform-based software, in Civil/Structural design structural steel, reinforced concrete, equipment anchoring, etc) for heavy industrial sites   

• Read and interpret design drawings of existing conditions to use in the development of new structural design for the related areas   

• Use and navigate 3D point clouds using Navisworks to view and measure the existing conditions of where the new design is required   

• Complete markups from pdf’s (Bluebeam) for senior designers and engineers.   

Profile 

• Student presently enrolled in 3-year Diploma program for Civil Engineering Technology   

• Available to work a 40-hour work week   

The salary for this position ranges from $24.20 to $30.00 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
